Brothers Osborne released their fifth studio album, Watertown, on October 23. The 11-track project includes a duet with Cody Johnson titled 'Born and Raised Hell.' The song serves as a nostalgic look at the artists' origins and shared history.
The record returns to the band's roots in Deale, Maryland. John and TJ Osborne drew inspiration from their hometown and the experiences that shaped their upbringing. The music reflects the specific memories and mischief of their youth before they moved away.
This collaboration marks a reunion for the artists. Brothers Osborne previously appeared on Johnson's album Banks of the Trinity earlier this year. That project featured the track 'Fool Proof,' which brought the two acts together for the first time.
John Osborne, Lee Miller, and Kendell Marvel wrote 'Born and Raised Hell.' The lyrics focus on the pride associated with one's hometown and the memories that persist long after adulthood. The accompanying video was directed by Nick Swift. It was filmed in Nashville with a vintage aesthetic, showing the trio performing in a garage.
The song is available to listeners now. Country radio stations are scheduled to begin playing 'Born and Raised Hell' on November 2.
