Polling data released ahead of the November midterm elections suggests the race for Senate control is closer than recent national surveys indicated. While a widely cited study found Democrats leading in all competitive states, independent polling firm Insider Advantage presents a different picture of the electoral landscape. The company’s numbers show tight margins in several critical districts, complicating predictions for the November 4 vote.

Matt Towery, the founder of Insider Advantage, appeared on Fox News to discuss the conflicting data sets. He acknowledged that the Republican Party recovered from early polling deficits but stopped short of declaring victory. Towery stated that the party is lucky to have President Donald Trump campaigning for their candidates. He argued that Trump’s presence at rallies would determine turnout in states such as Kansas, Iowa, and Alaska.

Towery specifically cited data showing the Alaska Senate race between Mary Peltola and Dan Sullivan as tied. His company also polls Kansas Senator Roger Marshall leading Adam Hamilton by one percentage point. These figures stand in contrast to the New York Times-Siena University survey released Sunday. That study found Democratic candidates ahead in all seven swing states.

The pollster noted that other firms report similar tightness. Robert Cahaly of Trafalgar Group has the Texas race between Ken Paxton and James Talarico as tied. Cahaly also polls Darline Graham ahead of Annie Andrews in South Carolina. Towery described the New York Times findings as a negative narrative but admitted the midterms are difficult to measure accurately.

Georgia represents a particular point of concern for Republicans. Towery said the governor’s race in that state is currently a fifty-fifty split according to his firm’s data. He emphasized that Republicans must achieve high turnout to secure wins in these competitive areas. The party faces pressure to perform well after President Trump focused the campaign on his own popularity despite mixed approval ratings.

Analysts continue to debate whether the GOP can retain its majorities in both chambers. The conflicting polls suggest that the outcome may hinge on voter turnout in specific states. Insider Advantage’s data indicates that several races are within the margin of error. The final results will depend on how effectively each party mobilizes its base in the final week of the campaign.
