Oklahoma State men's basketball finished its preseason exhibition slate on a loss, falling to Wisconsin 82-65 at the Kohl Center on Tuesday. The Badgers controlled the game from the opening tip, using long-range shooting to establish a lead that the Cowboys never fully threatened. Wisconsin shot 43.9% from beyond the arc, making 18 of 41 three-point attempts, while Oklahoma State went 5-for-24 from the same range.

The Cowboys struggled to find consistency in the first half, shooting just 28.1% from the field. Wisconsin capitalized on that inefficiency, sinking eight three-pointers in the opening 20 minutes to take a 40-26 halftime advantage. The Badgers never trailed in the contest. Their offense was powered by Owen Foxwell, who scored 19 points, including 16 in the first half. Eian Elmer added 11 points, while Nolan Winter, Braeden Carrington, and Austin Rapp each scored 10.

Oklahoma State showed improved offensive efficiency after intermission. The team shot 56.5% from the field in the second half, outscoring Wisconsin 39-42 over the final 20 minutes. Junior center Julius Halaifonua led the Cowboys with 16 points on 5-of-7 shooting. He also converted all five of his free throw attempts. Sophomore guard Jacob Walker scored 12 points, all of which came in the second half, and recorded a team-high four assists.

The Cowboys mounted a brief surge midway through the second half. Trailing by 15 points, Oklahoma State started a 7-0 run led by a layup from senior forward Jordan Burks. Freshman Anthony Felesi followed with a basket, and Walker hit a three-pointer to cut the deficit to 65-57 with 7:19 remaining. Carrington answered for Wisconsin with a three-pointer, and the Badgers held the lead for the rest of the game.

Burks made his first preseason appearance after missing the first two exhibitions with an injury. He played 11 minutes, contributing two points and three rebounds. The Cowboys also played without Luka Bogavac for the second straight game. Forwards Parsa Fallah and Mekhi Ragland have not seen preseason action while recovering from injuries. Oklahoma State held a 38-36 rebounding advantage and outscored Wisconsin 24-12 in the paint, but the Badgers received 39 points from their bench compared to 14 for the Cowboys.

The Cowboys end their three-game exhibition schedule with a 1-2 record. They open their 118th regular season on Monday, Nov. 2, against Incarnate Word at Gallagher-Iba Arena. Tipoff is set for shortly after 8 p.m. CT on ESPN+. A women's basketball game against Southern is scheduled for 5 p.m. that day. One ticket grants entry to both games.
