Tallahassee police arrested a 15-year-old on Sunday night in connection with a shooting that occurred Saturday near the Florida A&M University's Bragg Memorial Stadium. The suspect faces 11 counts of attempted second-degree murder and one count of possession of a firearm by a delinquent.

Chief of Police Lawrence Revell described the event as a disruption of a community celebration. He stated that the arrest represents progress in the case while emphasizing that the department continues to seek answers for affected families. The investigation is still active, and police have not ruled out additional arrests.

Gunfire erupted around 8 p.m. Eastern Time on Saturday near Perry and Manatee streets. The incident resulted in 12 injuries. Eleven victims sustained gunshot wounds, while one person injured an ankle while fleeing the area. As of Sunday night, six victims remained hospitalized, including one in critical condition, and at least five had been released.

Detectives believe a dispute between individuals who knew each other triggered the shooting after a fight broke out. Police indicated that none of the 12 victims were the intended targets. It remains unclear how many shooters were involved or the specific extent of the arrested teen's role in the gunfire.

Officers provided immediate medical aid to victims upon arrival before securing the perimeter. Sworn and civilian personnel, including detectives and victim advocates, have worked continuously since the incident. Police credited community cooperation for accelerating the investigation, citing a large volume of tips and digital evidence submitted in the hours following the shooting.

Revell urged the public to submit any information, photos, or video to the department. The agency provided a dedicated tip line at 850-891-4610 and an online portal for evidence uploads. He noted that no detail is too small and that public information is essential for piecing together the sequence of events.

Police are reviewing physical evidence and tracing leads to establish the full timeline. The department maintains that the investigation is ongoing as they work to identify all responsible parties and provide clarity to the victims and their families.
