Ukrainian air defense units destroyed 309 Russian aerial threats during the night of November 2 and 3, 2026. The interception campaign involved a mix of ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and unmanned aerial vehicles launched from multiple Russian regions.

Russian forces fired 59 cruise missiles and three ballistic or anti-ship missiles from the Rostov, Voronezh, Kursk, Vologda, Orenburg, and Oryol oblasts. The ballistic projectiles included Iskander-M and KN-23 systems alongside Zircon missiles.

The attack also featured 289 drones launched from Oryol, Kursk, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk, as well as from occupied Donetsk and Hvardiiske in Crimea. Among these were 120 jet-powered Shahed units and Gerbera attack drones, plus Parody decoys.

Strikes registered at 23 locations, primarily in the Kyiv, Kharkiv, Vinnytsia, and Dnipropetrovsk oblasts. Debris from downed weapons fell in 14 separate areas. Ukrainian forces deployed aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare assets, and mobile fire groups to repel the assault.

As of 9:00 a.m. on November 3, the Air Force confirmed the destruction or jamming of 309 targets. This count includes 49 cruise missiles, three ballistic missiles, and 257 drones, with data on three missiles still undergoing verification.

The Air Force stated that the attack is ongoing, with several Russian UAVs still in Ukrainian airspace. Commanders advised the public to observe safety measures while the defense operations continue.
