The Baltimore Ravens host the Jacksonville Jaguars at 8:15 p.m. ET on Thursday, November 5, to open Week 9 of the NFL season. The matchup features a high-profile absence for Baltimore, as quarterback Lamar Jackson is out with a thumb injury.

With Jackson sidelined, the offensive burden shifts to running back Derrick Henry. Henry, a native of the Jacksonville area, has a strong history against his former city. Over his last 10 games against the Jaguars, Henry has averaged 129.1 rushing yards and scored 14 total touchdowns.

The Jaguars' defense, ranked second in the league for scoring, has shown recent vulnerability against the run. After allowing only 63.8 rushing yards per game in its first five games of the season, Jacksonville has surrendered more than 100 rushing yards in each of its last two contests. The defense has also allowed a high volume of receptions to running backs, with only five teams giving up more to the position.

SportsLine expert Mike McClure, a professional daily fantasy player with more than $2 million in career winnings, recommends Henry as a primary pick. McClure’s model accounts for matchups and injuries, and he notes that Baltimore will likely lean heavily on Henry against a struggling run defense.

Jacksonville running back Bhayshul Tuten is another player drawing attention. Tuten set personal career highs in his last game, recording 104 rushing yards, 55 receiving yards, and 159 total yards while scoring twice. He has produced at least 87 scrimmage yards in all but one game this season and has scored multiple touchdowns in consecutive weeks.

The Ravens have managed just one touchdown in each of their last three games. If they continue to struggle to finish drives, kicker Tyler Loop may become a relevant fantasy option. The Jaguars’ defense is also considered a strong play given its league-leading scoring record.

McClure has identified an additional undervalued player who could impact tournament outcomes, though he has not named the specific athlete in this preview. His full set of recommended lineups and rankings for the contest is available on the SportsLine platform.
